Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

LEXA is Lexzur’s Legal AI Agent, built natively into CONTRA and PRACTICE. It works on the contract or matter record itself — analysing contracts, reviewing risk, reading documents and preparing cases for legal, procurement and enterprise teams.

Beyond single tasks, LEXA runs multi-step processes you configure yourself: specialized agents for defined jobs, chained into repeatable workflows, set up inside Lexzur without external tools or developer support.

Generic AI tools read a document you paste into them, then wait for the next one. They do not know what the document is, who it is with, or what happens to it next.

LEXA works on the record you already have, so it knows the contract type, the counterparty, the entity, the approval threshold and the matter it belongs to. It reads your language against your own templates rather than a generic standard.

It also stays inside your permissions: LEXA sees what the person working the record is allowed to see, and nothing else.

First-pass review is what it is built for. LEXA reads the whole contract against your own templates, clause library and policies, and returns what departs from them.

Four things, concretely:

Drafts — from your approved templates, with fields pulling from the contract record and conditional clauses appearing based on the answers given at request, or freehand where no template fits.

Compares — incoming language read against your templates and policies, clause by clause: non-standard wording, missing clauses, uncapped indemnities, ambiguous drafting.

Extracts — governing law, jurisdiction, commercial terms, payment obligations, renewal dates and the obligations someone will have to track, pulled onto the record rather than typed there.

Summarizes — a long contract reduced to what a non-lawyer needs in order to decide.

What changes is where the lawyer’s time goes. You are not reading forty-one pages to find the four things that matter; you are deciding on the four.

Nine checks against the matter record: issue identification, strengths and weaknesses, factual consistency, argument extraction, compliance assessment, process error detection, risk evaluation, clause review and case summaries.

Each runs against the matter as it stands, including correspondence and documents added by people who have since left the file, so the analysis does not depend on who handled it before.

Yes, and without development work. Everything is configured inside Lexzur.

Each agent is defined by what it does: its instructions, its response style, the knowledge it can reference and the tools it can use. Agents are then grouped into workflows that run in sequence, pass results from one agent to the next, or route to the right agent depending on the situation.

Before a workflow runs, you can set the Review Perspective, so LEXA reviews from a specific party’s point of view — buyer or seller — or stays neutral.

Agents and workflows are created, edited and cloned from searchable settings grids, so teams shape the setup around their own work rather than around a fixed template.

You review it, and LEXA is built to make that quick.

LEXA drafts, reviews, extracts and translates. It does not sign, approve, or make the final call on legal risk — professional judgment, and responsibility for the advice you give, stay with your team.

Every flag comes back with the clause or passage that triggered it, so checking a finding takes seconds rather than a re-read of the document. Every AI action is written to the audit log against the record. Nothing LEXA does is a black box you would have to take on faith.

Your documents answer your prompts and nothing else. They are not used to train Lexzur’s models or to improve outputs for anyone else.

LEXA runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access follows the same role-based permissions as the rest of your workspace, and every AI action is written to the audit log.

Lexzur is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 under certificate AE24060703, and is GDPR compliant with an appointed Data Protection Officer and an appointed EU representative.

Yes. LEXA reads and reviews contracts and matters in Arabic, and translates documents that arrive in a language your team does not work in.

The Lexzur interface runs in English, Arabic, French and Spanish, so regional teams work in their own language on the same record.

Yes, and it’s built to be checked rather than trusted.

Every flag comes with the clause or passage that triggered it, so verifying takes seconds rather than a re-read. Every action is logged against the record. Nothing LEXA does is a black box you’d have to take on faith.

LEXA does the work. Professional judgment stays yours, and so does responsibility for the advice you give.

Yes. LEXA comes with CONTRA and PRACTICE, so a free trial of either includes it. [Try it for free →]
